This 5-valve AC mains table model also known as the ‘fleur-de-lis’ was manufactured by Thorn in 1956. The cabinet surface is covered in a light teak veneer with gold trim. This radio featured 3 reception wavebands, medium, long and VHF selected by means of a rotary switch. Internal aerials include a FM plate dipole and a rotatable ferrite rod for AM reception. Extension sockets at the rear were provided for gram pick-up, speaker, aerial and earth connections.
