Manufactured by Murphy in 1955. This 6 Valve receiver was housed in a two tone plastic cabinet with silver trim. The radio featured 3 reception wavebands, medium long and FM/VHF (The BBC’s FM/VHF broadcasts were taking place on an experimental basis only in a few reception areas in 1955) selected by means of a rotary switch. An internal FM diapole aerial was fitted for the reception of local stations. Sockets on the rear of the set were provided for external loudspeaker and aerial and earth connections.
