Manufactured by Murphy in 1957. This 6 Valve receiver was housed in a two tone plastic cabinet with silver trim. The radio featured 3 reception wavebands, medium long and FM/VHF (The BBC’s FM/VHF Broadcasts were taking place on an experimental basis only in a few reception areas in 1955) selected by means of a rotary switch. An internal FM dipole aerial was fitted for the reception of local stations. On the rear of the set sockets were provided for external loudspeaker and aerial and earth connections, also a slider control for tone adjustments.
