This 4-valve portable receiver was first introduced in 1955. This radio was able to switch and tune on the long and medium wavebands. The set was switched on when the case was opened and a frame aerial was also fitted in the lid. The components in the lower half of the case were mounted on a printed circuit board, which was quite a new innovation at the time.
The retail-selling price was £9.9s.6d plus purchase tax.
