This 4 valve portable radio was manufactured in 1950 by Pye Ltd. The set switched on and off when the lid was opened and closed. A frame aerial was also hidden inside the lid. The radio received on the Medium and Long wavebands. The suitcase style wooden cabinet is covered with a blue simulated crocodile skin Rexine material.
