This 5-valve superhet receiver was manufactured for Radio Rentals in 1946 Housed in a bakelite case it was able to tune the medium and long wavebands Radio Rentals started trading in August 1930 and by its Silver Jubilee in 1955 had over 280,000 radio subscribers. Most of its radios were made by Ekco Ltd.
Radio rentals ceased renting radios in 1965, today the company is known as Box Clever a national Television Rental company.
